Product Description
Paraxylene production is highly dependent on precise control of the C8 aromatic separation process. Small changes in composition can affect separation performance, adsorbent utilization and overall PX production efficiency.
RS2000PAT Online Raman Analyzer is designed to provide continuous composition information directly from the process, helping production teams move from periodic laboratory testing toward real-time process monitoring.
Why Real-Time PX Measurement Matters
C8 aromatics contain four closely related compounds:
Their similar physical properties make conventional separation challenging. In simulated moving bed adsorption systems, process performance depends on maintaining an appropriate concentration profile through different sections of the adsorption system.
Offline chromatographic testing provides valuable analytical information, but the typical cycle time of tens of minutes can create a gap between the actual process condition and the available analytical result.
RS2000PAT is designed to close this information gap.
Raman Monitoring Inside the Adsorption Tower
Industrial Raman probes can be positioned at selected locations within the adsorption tower. The analyzer continuously acquires Raman signals and extracts quantitative information from the C8 aromatic mixture.

Monitor composition changes without relying exclusively on periodic sampling.
PX quantification
Identify and quantify PX within a complex C8 aromatic background.

Observe composition at different locations in the adsorption system.

Designed for Industrial Operation
RS2000PAT supports in-situ, non-destructive analysis and continuous operation. Its explosion-proof cabinet configuration incorporates temperature control, automatic calibration, self-diagnosis and positive-pressure protection for demanding plant environments.
For the demonstrated PX application, the reported quantitative deviation for PX is below 0.07%.
