Product Description
JINSP RS2000PAT Online Raman Analyzer provides continuous, in-situ measurement of liquid components in demanding chemical and petrochemical processes. For paraxylene (PX) production, the system enables real-time monitoring of C8 aromatic mixtures directly within the adsorption separation process.
PX production relies heavily on the separation of closely related C8 aromatic components, including para-xylene, meta-xylene, ortho-xylene and ethylbenzene. Because these compounds have very similar boiling points, conventional distillation is not an efficient separation method, making simulated moving bed (SMB) adsorption technology widely used in industrial PX production.
In this process, knowing the composition of feed, extract, raffinate and desorbent streams is essential for maintaining stable operation. Traditional laboratory or offline chromatographic analysis can require tens of minutes per analytical cycle, limiting the speed at which process conditions can be adjusted.
RS2000PAT changes this approach by bringing Raman analysis directly into the process.
Key Features:
For the PX application, Raman probes can be installed at selected positions within the adsorption tower, creating a real-time view of concentration changes throughout the separation process.
The application demonstrates a PX quantitative deviation of less than 0.07%, supporting tighter process control and more responsive operating decisions.
From Laboratory Analysis to Process Intelligence
Instead of waiting for periodic laboratory results, operators can continuously observe concentration changes and respond to process conditions as they occur. This can support optimization of operating parameters, adsorbent cycles and production efficiency while reducing the workload associated with manual sampling and laboratory analysis.
RS2000PAT is also designed for integration with industrial control architectures through RS485 and RJ45 Ethernet interfaces with Modbus support.
